About RoamSchoolFamily

RoamSchoolFamily is a family of four homeschooling our way through the 63 United States national parks, writing up the places, the animals and plants that live in them, and the school standards we check our own work against.

Where else we post

Why we're doing this

There is a small window, a few years where the four of us can do this together before it costs Big and Little something. We are spending it on the road.

The parks are public and they are already paid for. What is missing is usually not access, it is a plain description of what a place is and what a child can do there. That is what we write.

Who we are

  • Cy — the father. Writes most of what is here.
  • Erika — the mother. Keeps the rig running.
  • Big — our son, the older of the two.
  • Little — our daughter, the younger.
