What we did
A foot-deep crater dug in the wet sand at the resort beach, with a rim packed up around it and a puddle of lake water sitting in the middle. The engineering was where the rim should go and how much water it would hold before it soaked away. It came out a circle without anybody naming it one.

What this builds on
- 1.6.B distinguish between attributes that define a two-dimensional or three-dimensional figure and attributes that do not define the shape we would do that one first, because the formal names sit better once attributes are sorted, though children name shapes long earlier
Where it goes
- 2.8.C classify and sort polygons with 12 or fewer sides according to attributes, including identifying the number of sides and number of vertices we would come here after, because sorting by side count works on shapes that already have names and attributes
