Background

Yahooskin-Paiute bands held the country east of the Yamsay Mountain, south of Lakeview and north of Fort Rock, which is the high desert north and east of the basin. They are the third of the three peoples the Klamath Tribes govern, and the Tribes' history page gives all three the shared name mukluks and numu, the people.
